New Gmail’s ‘Undo Send’ feature; Users Can Now Recall Sent Mails

Gmail logo
We all know how important our words can be whether spoken or written. Imagine sending a beautifully constructed romantic love letter to your mother instead of your girlfriend or a strictly official letter meant for your boss to someone else. Have you ever sent a mail to someone and after a second thought regretted sending it? Maybe because it was sent to the wrong recipient or you forgot to add attachments or something. Google inc. has got the solution.

Gmail users can now have their sent messages retrieved with this ‘undo send’ feature so long as it is clicked within 30 seconds of hitting the ‘send’ button.
It was in its testing stage before but has been officially added as one of the official Gmail features but for one to be able to use this feature, you must have enabled the undo send feature in the Gmail settings.

How to enable Gmail ‘Undo Send’ feature
1.       Click the gear in the top right
2.       Select Settings
3.       Scroll down to Undo Send and click Enable
4.       Set the cancellation period i.e. the amount of time you choose to decide to unsend an email
5.       Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes
Peradventure you turned on Undo Send in Gmail Labs, you need not worry because your Undo send feature will still be turned on by default
