How to Send Large Files through WhatsApp (mp3, mp4, apk, etc)

In this article I will show you how to send any file type of any size through WhatsApp without having to download any third party app.

Have you tried sending a large mp3 or a video, maybe the one you recorded on your Android device or an mp4 to someone through WhatsApp? May be you watched that video or finished listening to that wonderful mp3 recording and you thought that this friend might like this stuff.

You selected the mp3 or the video to send to him/her only for WhatsApp to send you this wonderful error message:

"The media file you have selected is larger than 16mb. Unable to send file".

The fact is that you cannot send some  files that are larger than 16mb through WhatsApp.

But with this little trick I will teach you how to go about it in the simplest possible way. Just follow me lets take the ride...

FOLLOW THIS DETAILED STEPS TO SEND YOUR LARGE FILES THROUGH WHATSAPP

1. Go to your file manager and locate the file you want to send

2. Click and hold the file to open the options menu

3. From the options, select 'Rename'

4. Leave the name of the file intact, just change the extension i.e the name after the '.' to 'txt'  instead of the former mp3 or any other thing there. This will change the file to a text file.

Note that you will see a warning that you about changing the file extension, don't worry, just accept it

5. Now locate the text file and send/Share to the person on WhatsApp

6. When the receiver finishes downloading it, tell the person to follow the same process you followed and change the filename to what was there before you changed it e.g .mp3

Remember to still go back and rename your own file on your device.

If you have any problems doing any of the things listed here or in any part, just drop it in the comments section below.

Invalid Login on Npower 2017 Test Portal

You have probably completed your registration on the NPOWER.GOV.NG site for 2017 recruitment. Now it’s time to take the test. You come to the test portal https://apply.npower.gov.ng/test/login/index.php to take your test and after filling your login details – Your phone number and your BVN number, you are rocked with this error message:

“Invalid Login, Please try again.”

You don’t need to worry your self when you see that message. You are not alone; Many people are having that same problem of Invalid login, Please try again on that site… trust Naija nah.
All you have to do is:

    • 1    Crosscheck your login details to make sure you are entering the correct data
The login details needed on the Npower 2017 test are just your Phone number and your BVN number. Check very well to be sure that there are no mistakes on those two numbers.

    • 2   Keep on trying
Just keep refreshing the page https://apply.npower.gov.ng/test/login/index.php intermittently. Never give up on this even if your test date has passed. It might still give you the same error message- Invalid login, Please try again; but just come back later and still try… who knows?

    • 3  Wait for the Npower test invitation text
This might sound frustrating but the real fact is that Npower has to verify your BVN details and make sure it is consistent with what you provided on the registration portal. If you are sure that you provided the correct BVN details during your registration, just wait, the text from Npower might just come and if it does, it means you have a higher chance of taking the test.
If you get the message and the problem still persist, try calling any of the numbers on the npower site to complain or through their social media handles.

The last resort may be trying to register afresh since the registration portal is still open to fresh registration. Please don’t quote me on this, It is just a suggestion which I have not verified. I’m not even sure the second registration will go through since you will still use the same bvn number, but there is no harm in trying especially if it’s the last resort.

First Cargo Airline Lands in Enugu International Airport

Cargo Airline
History was made Tuesday, 23rd of August, as the first ever cargo (goods-carrying) aircraft landed successfully in the Akanu Ibiam international airport. This is the first ever cargo airline to land anywhere in the south-eastern part of the country.

Speaking shortly at the event to witness the landing, the state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, commended all those who put in their efforts  including those in the federal government like Senator Ike Ekweremmadu, who put in their constituency funds, not forgetting those in the aviation sector who also did their best to ensure that this was a success. He went further to say that this will boost the business activities in the state and also trickle down to making the economy of the state and the south-east in general better.

For most of us here who do mini importation or the full-blown type, this development is a right step in the right direction as many bottlenecks facing importation and exportation will be greatly reduced.

It takes a lot to bring in goods from Lagos or the North were cargo airlines always landed before. Customs and other law enforcement agents on the roads during the conveyance of the goods and all these increases the cost of conveying the goods from the ports where they landed to the points where they are actually needed in the country.

This is great news for all of us.

Whatsapp to Start Sharing Users’ Phone Numbers and other data to Facebook

Whatsapp
The world’s leading instant messaging app, Whatsapp, will soon begin to share more data with the social media giant Facebook. Whatspp gained its popularity due to its ease of use, privacy status, and simplicity as almost every phone that has access to the internet and or GPS can use the app.

So Whatsapp will now begin sharing information like user’s phone numbers, last time such persons used Whatsapp and the likes with Facebook.  They made this known stating that this will help offer better friend suggestions and more relevant ads on Facebook and help eradicate spam abuse.

This is the first time Whatsapp is changing its privacy policy after it was bought over by the social media giants – Facebook.

To many people, like me, this is actually a letdown as it portrays a sense of betrayal. I don’t like sharing my phone numbers online.
But the good news here is that users have the way out. You can simply choose to opt out of the data sharing policy if you don’t like it by just simply following some steps stated out on the company’s website.

Do you think this a welcome development?
Let’s hear your view in the comment section below…

Get 3GB of Data for just N500 on Glo Mobile TGIF

The quest for who becomes the king of mobile data provider in Nigeria is heating up big time. We brought you information last week on how you can get up to 3GB data on MTN when you recharge with N500. We had barely finished talking about that when we learnt of the THANK GLO IT’S FRIDAY (TGIF) data subscription package from Glo mobile.

This kind of competition is a very welcome and healthy one. You can remember vividly that it was this kind of competition from Glo that knocked MTN down from their high heavens when they were having a field day in the Nigerian telecommunications sector selling one sim card for thousands of Naira with no competitor until Glo came calling; today, simcards are given out free of charge. We want more of these.

Back to what I was saying; the TGIF is a weekend data plan that allows Glo customers to enjoy surfing the internet and downloading any kind of stuff they want with a whooping 3GB of data that goes for just N500. The data is activated from 12am on Saturday morning till 5am on Monday mornings.

It’s very easy to activate. Just dial the USSD *777# on your phone and locate the weekend plans from the list.

What do you think about this plan from Glo?
Please just take 2 seconds to share…

Complete List of Latest Data Plans on the New Glo Data Supermart

The war over data superiority on the Nigerian telecommunication industry wages on. The latest inclucsion is the Glo mobile Data Supermart. Globacom Nigeria has rolled out a new and improved bumper fresh bouquet of data plans and bonuses which they tagged the new Glo Data Supermart.

This is a greatly reduced cost of data subscription that they introduced to meet the yearnings of their teeming customers and improve their convenience when it comes to cost of subscribing to data for browsing.

The breakdown is as follows:
1.5 gb of data N1000 for 1 month
3 gb of data N2000 for 1 month
4.5 gb of data N2500 for 1 month
6 gb of data N3000 for 1 month
9 gb of data N4000 for  1 month

In case you run short of data in the course of your subscription, it has an added incentive of getting 300 MB for N200 when it has to do with a weekly subscription but 1GB for N500 for monthly
subscriptions. WOW!

Everything can be accessed from the general Glo mobile data subscription USSD which is *777#.

For me I think this is a good development, so what do you think? Hit us in the comment section

Recharge your phone airtime free of charge with this app

Well, as at the time of writing this post, I have already completed my first test-run recharge of N15 on my phone using the free Banana Topup app. I've not used this app for up to two weeks and I've not been so consistent with it. See the evidence:

The app just requires you to do some simple things in exchange for coins.  Things like opening the app (checking in) every other day in it, watching some video ads for free, downloading some free apps and extra coins when you use those app you have downloaded.

These are very simple things you can just passively do in your free time or when you are just playing around with your pbone.

The app doesn't require you to get up to a thousand coins before you can use it to recharge your phone. By just accumulating as little as 200 coins,  you can change it for N15 worth of MTN airtime or 540 coins for N50 Airtel or even 460 coins for Glo and then 180 coins for Etisalat airtime as the minimum recharge .

You can Decide to leave the coins until they are much if you don't want to recharge just N15 and you can recharge with any network in Nigeria or in your country if you are not living in Nigeria. Just select your country and all the mobile networks in your country will appear in the list for you to select.

What could be better than getting a little airtime to say hi to a friend free of charge and save your little change?

If you venture to invite your friend,  it gets better. Just one invite will fetch you 50 coins. Just click to download the app from here and enjoy yourself with it.
