Jumia Nigeria ‘Collabos’ with MTN Nigeria for Complete Zero Free Data

The biggest and fastest-growing online shopping mall in Africa – Jumia, has collaborated with MTN Nigeria to dole out a zero-data app called Jumia zero-data app. This was done in  a bid to reducing data costs which, of course, is the greatest Goliath facing mobile internet access in Nigeria.

JumiaIn recognition of the above fact, Jumia’s Zero Data app will offer, for free, a full access to online shopping on the app provided it was run on a device using and MTN sim.

Commenting on this development, the CEO of Jumia Africa, Mr. Martin Nicholas said, “we are proud of this new partnership with MTN that will undoubtedly lead to an increasing value for our customers. We believe that a better internet access and even more mobile will foster economic development for both small businesses and Nigeria as a whole; therefore, in  order to provide the best customer experience, it is time for jumia to make its services available for more people anywhere at any given time.”

One can download the Jumia app free of charge and enjoy zero data access charges while roaming about on the Jumia online shop for various products; other sites like Kaymu and Jovago can be accessed through this app.

So what are you waiting for? Download the Jumia app on your phone using your MTN sim or send JUMAPP to 131 (SMS) to get the download link.
